“Live Wire in itself is such a unique radio show that putting it together each week has helped me grow as an audio storyteller. The hands-on experience I got helped me improve a lot of technical skills like scriptwriting, copywriting, marketing, and audio production, but it also helped me learn the depths of my creativity. The fellowship also taught me the inner workings of a radio show, and how each and every step is important for a successful show. I loved how each week can lead to a new project or idea and that there’s a supportive team to help guide you. I’ll definitely take the skills, experience, and creative thinking I gained from this program with me into the next steps of my career.” – Jackie Ibarra, Live Wire Production Fellow 2023 - 2024
“As the first production fellow at Live Wire, I felt like I was constantly learning -- about radio, podcasts, live shows, and the arts in general. I learned what it was like to work with a team on a tight production schedule. I was able to contribute creatively and always felt like my ideas and opinions mattered. This fellowship program is an amazing and fun way to develop new skills and learn from some of the greats.” – Tanvi Kumar, Live Wire Production Fellow 2022 - 2023
Pay is $2000 per month for 20 hours a week for ten months.
