Michael Schur is a television writer and producer who has worked on shows like Saturday Night Live, The Office, Master of None, The Comeback, and Hacks, and created or co-created Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn 99, The Good Place, and Rutherford Falls. He has been nominated for 19 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning twice. His shows are known for their “good-hearted humanistic warmth” (The New York Times). Born in Michigan and raised in Connecticut, Schur attended Harvard University, where he wrote for the Harvard Lampoon. His first book, How to Be Perfect: The Correct Answer to Every Moral Question, came out on January 25th, 2022. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife Jennifer, and their two kids, William and Ivy. Demi Adejuyigbe is a writer, filmmaker, comedian, and performer in Los Angeles. He is best known for co-hosting the comedy podcast Gilmore Guys. He has written for The New Yorker, The Guardian, Pitchfork, Cartoon Network, MTV, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and The Amber Ruffin Show, as well as episodes of the Marvel TV series New Warriors and an episode of NBC's The Good Place. He is currently a writer and supervising producer on the animated Apple+ series Strange Planet. He co-hosts the monthly comedy show Everything’s Great at Dynasty Typewriter in LA. South Carolina Folk Duo
NPR has called Shovels & Rope “one of roots music’s most exciting, unpredictable acts.” The duo, which formed when husband and wife Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst combined their solo careers, blends folk, rock, and country, into a unique Americana sound. In the last decade, they have released six full-length albums and three collaborative cover albums (Busted Jukebox Volumes 1-3). They have curated the High Water Festival in their hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, and, in 2019, released “Shovels & Rope: The Movie,” a rock and roll fantasy braided into a live concert film.
